Cancer Care

Receiving a cancer diagnosis — or supporting someone who has — is one of the most overwhelming experiences a person can face. Decisions need to be made quickly, often about treatments and options that are entirely unfamiliar. The information can feel endless, contradictory, and frightening. At Natura, we are here to help you find your footing.

Dr. Margaret Coffey offers integrative naturopathic support for people who have recently received a cancer diagnosis, are currently in active treatment, or are in remission and focused on recovery and long-term wellness. Our approach puts you at the center of your own care — honoring your values, your priorities, and your choices every step of the way.

Our Approach

Naturopathic integrative cancer care does not replace conventional oncology — it works alongside it. Dr. Coffey communicates and collaborates with your oncologist and other members of your care team to ensure that your naturopathic support is safe, appropriate, and well-coordinated with your conventional treatment. The goal is a team that is working together on your behalf.

At the same time, we recognize that every person's situation is unique. Some people want naturopathic support as a complement to chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery. Others are exploring all of their options before making treatment decisions. Some are finished with conventional treatment and focused on recovery, prevention of recurrence, and rebuilding their health. Wherever you are in that journey, Dr. Coffey meets you there — without judgment and without an agenda other than your wellbeing.

We look at the whole person, not just the diagnosis. Cancer affects every dimension of health — physical, nutritional, emotional, and lifestyle — and Dr. Coffey's support addresses all of it.

How Dr. Coffey Can Help

Integrative cancer support at Natura is highly individualized. Depending on your situation, your goals, and your overall health picture, support may include:

  • IV therapy — intravenous nutrient support to strengthen the body, support immune function, and promote overall resilience during and after treatment. [Link to IV Therapy page]

  • Ozone therapy — used as adjunctive support for immune activation and overall physiological resilience. [Link to Ozone Therapy page]

  • Nutritional support — individualized dietary guidance to nourish the body through treatment, support healing, and reduce inflammation

  • Immune support — targeted naturopathic therapies to support and optimize immune function throughout the cancer journey

  • Side effect management — naturopathic support for the side effects of conventional cancer treatment, including nausea, fatigue, neuropathy, digestive disruption, and more

  • Emotional & lifestyle support — cancer affects every dimension of life. Dr. Coffey supports patients in navigating the emotional, psychological, and lifestyle dimensions of their experience — and can help connect you with additional resources and support when needed

  • Decision-making support — if you are newly diagnosed and facing unfamiliar decisions, Dr. Coffey can help you understand your options, ask the right questions, and feel more grounded and informed as you move forward

Finishing active treatment is a significant milestone — and the beginning of a new chapter that comes with its own questions and challenges. Many people find that the transition out of active treatment is unexpectedly difficult: the structure of treatment ends, but the physical and emotional effects linger, and the focus shifts to recovery and preventing recurrence.

Dr. Coffey offers dedicated survivorship support for people who have completed conventional cancer treatment and are focused on rebuilding their health, restoring energy and vitality, addressing lingering side effects, and reducing the risk of recurrence through evidence-informed naturopathic care. This is an area we feel strongly about — and one that is often underserved in conventional oncology follow-up care.
